[scribus] Scribus suitable for a webzine?

Is the final output going to be PDF or HTML? Quark, InDesign, Scribus
= PDF. Joomla = HTML/web based content management system. Really
apples and oranges, even though I've never been all that crazy about
that expression.

I'm sure that Quark and InDesign have HTML output capabilities, though
I've never either, just becuase any modern content production tool
seems to have HTML output capabilities. I am also equally sure that
the HTML they produce Sucks[1]. Even thoguh, like I said, I never have
used them. It is just that my experience with ANY WYISWYG tool that
ends up producing HTML produces shoddy HTML.[2]

But if you are producing PDF, then Scribus, yes, is perfectly good for that.

My advice, though, is never switch tools in the middle of a production
cycle. Are you using *anything* right now? What are the stakes of
delaying the product? If you start goofing around with a
high-learning-curve tool that you've never used before and it is two
days before deadline and your cousin's chinchilla is going to be
killed if you don't make the deadline, then I recommend sticking with
what you are currently using, even if it is MS Powerpoint[3].

Okay, so I got a little off-track from the original question[4], but I
think I answered it in there somewhere.

Later...

[1] For any given value of "suck"
[2] For any given value of "shoddy"
[3] Why oh why do so many people misuse/abuse Powerpoint????
[4] Actually, nothing here. I just like footnotes. :)
