I think there is no intention doing that so far.

Hi Tom,

Welcome to Scribus!

You will be happy laying out a book with text and images using Scribus.

You may want to split your project into different chapters. This will help
handle long text.

Please be specific with your questions and you will find lots of help on
this list. Many of us have a fair amount of experience using DTP apps and
support the Scribus project for years now.

PDF files done with Scribus do meet all the pro requirements.
