>>Your Scribus Debian package maintainer,
> Perhaps someone can give a bit of guidance here for a non-techie person like me who has just this week installed Scribus-cvs 1.3.3-1 from the Ubuntu repository. Is scribus-ng what I should now be using, i.e. is it the stable version, or is it really for developers and risk-takers? Thanks for the help.
There had some messages about that.
The 18.104.22.168 (the -1 at the end is not the number of a version) is the
1.3.3 (the one that you call 1.3.3-1) with some corrections.
So you should do:
- apt-get update
- apt-get install scribus-ng
and then you have to type scribus-ng to run the 22.214.171.124
