I'd be interesting in being able to get metrics of added text
and in my case, i dont need such a precision as to know
what edge or boundary in the glyph it is.
It could be the center of the glyph or the baseline left position for example.
Once the setting known, it'd be possible to automate some smarter layout.

I'd be interested in knowing more about this way of doing.
What are the function names ? Are there examples ?
What is the nature of the "point" you mention : a specific glyph ?

Hi Michael,

Please start a bug on bugs.scribus.net and attach the .sla to that bug
report. If you'd like you can make the bug private for only the devs to see
it. You can also share a link to the TIF through dropbox or owncloud or
whatever. Thanks in advance!

/Kunda

I'm happy to help, but it looks like my file is valid PDF/X3 after all.
I talked to Jean Ghali via IRC yesterday, he checked it in Acrobat.
Possibly my printer is using a different software (and I saw
preflight errors with PDF Studio 10, but I don't know much about that).

Should I send my file anyway?

Cheers
 Michael

As far as I remember (I don't have Scribus on this machine) Scribus files
have the extension .sla, and autosave backups have .sla.autosave.
