Peter is correct in his assumption, yes Greg I want to take the download to my new Computer to install, so Greg is correct. as well. Will some one also give me the Official Scribus correct download site.

We have not had any problems with getting Scribus from the official
release site (Sourceforge). If you stick with that, you should have no
worry. I think you are mistaken if you somehow think that installing
from Sourceforge is risky, but downloading files and installing them
offline is safe.

Are you talking about building for Windows? Because Wena is talking about
downloading to a Windows XP machine, transfer to a new Windows 7 machine
and installing on that. And from what I understand building for Windows
isn't as straight forward as building for Linux.

I don't think she's talking about building at all.
I gather that she has some fear of connecting this new computer to the
internet.
