</span>We have not had any problems with getting Scribus from the official<br>
release site (Sourceforge). If you stick with that, you should have no<br>
worry. I think you are mistaken if you somehow think that installing<br>
from Sourceforge is risky, but downloading files and installing them<br>
offline is safe.<br>

Because Wena is talking about downloading to a Windows XP machine, transfer to a new Windows 7 machine and installing on that.
