Well, Erich and Peter have interesting comments. Thank you. Obviously, I
don't ask Scribus to resample my pictures.

That's one of the first thing I verified, that's why I'm maybe wrong to
accuse Scribus. The zoomed PDF looks like the original TIFF files on the
screen, not resampled. After that, I've looked at the preferences of
Acrobat and Viewer on MacOS, and I tried to print the document on three
different laser printers. I've got always the same result. When I print my
tiff files directly from GIMP, they look perfect on paper. I really don't
know what to do! I've also read other threads, without satisfactory
