Hmm.

My  only experience is with cover files. I have submitted mine with no
problem. I altered four for a customer and he had no problem. I
created a cover for another customer and he had no problem. So it
could be that the particular LSI worker wouldn't accept anything
that did not have Adobe somethingorother as the creator. It also
could be that for color interiors the rules are different than
for covers of b/w books. 

When you talk to the LSI folks, you might mention that if LSI is
intransigent on Scribus-created files we may have to recommend to
Scribus users that they print through Createspace instead. And
indicate the number of members on this listserv. Maybe that will
get their attention. 

I plan on printing my next book with some color pages via 360
Digital and use Amazon advantage for distribution. Unlike LSI 360
actually wants my business. They aren't big enough to be able to throw
sand in their customer's faces.
