I guess I don't understand "add these repos in /etc/yum somewhere."

I have a folder /etc/yum.repos.d/. It contains half a dozen text files,
each apparently containing the information for a particular repository.
So I copied the link above for Fedora 14 into Gedit (as root) and saved
it into /etc/yum.repos.d/. Unfortunately, that causes Yumex to hang on
launch, with a clear error message that the culprit is the above repo
file.

There is a GUI: System > Administration > Software Sources but, unlike
its counterpart that I recall from Ubuntu days, there is no Add button.
It merely displays the repositories that are enabled and those that
can be enabled (with a checkbox).

Yumex also lists the repositories, and there are checkboxes to enable
additional repositories, but still no Add button.

If I use Firefox I can go to the URL and, indeed, all the rpms appear
to be there. I downloaded the RC5 rpm, plus podofo and libpodofo. I
installed the podofo rpms with rpm -i, but rpm -i won't install the
RC5 rpm. It gives me pages of conflicts with 1.3.9.
