Thank you Greg and Peter for the VERY quick responses,

 >It sounds like you did not embed your fonts in the PDF
OT-fonts are not embedable  in scribus (only outlines), I think.
I did a few short tests with different  TT fonts > no problems there.

 >But if you zoom in to for example 200% things should look better.
Peter, even at 800% things are strange.

Is therefore the solution to not use OTFs?
