Hi Jerry,

I wouldn't hesitate to get one of those snapshots -

http://sourceforge.net/projects/scribus/files/

and you might as well get the latest 1.3.9svn snapshot while you're at 
it. It will install just as easily as the stable version.

The default behavior for Scribus will be to _add_ this version, in other 
words, you won't overwrite or delete your 1.3.3.14 automatically.
So you can use both.
