[scribus] Scribus documentation translations temporarily removed from builds

Hi all,
Those of you who build Scribus from scratch, as well as those who will install
the soon-to-be-released 1.3.9 and try to use Scribus with a Czech, French,
German or Polish UI translation, will notice that the document translations
don't show up in the Help Browser -- they will see the English documentation
instead.
The reason for this rather drastic step is the status of both the translations
and the English original. After a review of the available documentation, it
was decided that a rewrite of many of the existing documents was necessary,
and we also added new documents. This work will continue for some time, and it
should be understood as a part of the regular development process. We hope to
be able to present a "retreaded" documentation in v. 1.4, and as with code,
you are invited to test and proofread what is there and to suggest
improvements.
Personally, I think it's better to provide an English version that's up to
date than a translation that had been written years ago, around the time
Scribus 1.0 may have been current, and which may have become factually flawed
by now.
Of course we'd be glad if new translators would show up and translate the
documentation into another language. But those who might be interested should
wait until the rewrite of the English version has been completed. We will
announce this in time
If you wonder what happened to the "old" translations, rest assured that they
haven't been deleted. If you check out svn, they're still where they have been
before (in ~/Scribus/scribus/doc/), but they won't be installed by default. If
you want to install them anyway, open the file CmakeLists.txt in the
aforementioned directory with a text editor. You will only see the following
line:
ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(en)
If you want the French translation to be installed, add another line:
ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(fr)
Save the file, rerun cmake, make and make install, and now you have the French
translation available again.
Cheers,
Christoph
