Dear Ted,

Presumably you are referring to Google Picasa. In that very case I
have to inform you that there is no such thing as Picasa photograph.
Google Picasa stores image in their own file format, and all
modifications you apply to them are stored in a sidecar text file on
per-folder basis.

What you need to do is export your image ("File > Export..." or
something like that) to a folder and import it into your Scribus
document by drawing an image frame, pressing Ctrl+D and pointing it to
the file you exported.
