i may be mistaking, but while setting up a DTP workflow you'd better prepare yourself to create .txt or .odt files which you will import into text frames.

you while have a bit more control on how the text is included into scribus and it will work in predictable way across different systems.


in short: i'd import a file and wouldn't copy paste text into scribus
(except for short, non formatted, snippets).
