Greg,

thanks for your kind reply.

My first test used a 16bit TIFF.
I have decreased color depth from 16 to 8 bits and corrected a color 
space mismatch.
The TIFF now appears with the correct resolution when you preview it 
after ctrl-D.

The JPEG does not, though.
