[scribus] Running Scribus 1.3.3.13 on Windows XP

Were the installs of Ghostscript and Scribus made just after a clean boot?

If not, then I would suggest uninstalling both, then rebooting and
- at the risk of sounding paranoid or overly persnicketty - I'd install
Ghostscript, then reboot, then install Scribus.

And criticizing "Windows Classic" could be the curse of it all ;)
[I hate all that newfangled XP stuff]
