Well, the relation of a product the market is a complex one. The office suite 
market is more permeable than the DTP one because it is less technical. Basic 
users hardly notice the difference between OO and MSO.

My point was more about whether or not Scribus works as expected for all the 
*basic usage* scenarios. I sometimes get the impression that while Scribus 
has some very advanced features there are small annoying bugs in basic 
operations that prevent it from looking more "finished". However I also feel 
that this has been improving *a lot* with latest 1.3.3.X releases:

I tend to think that it may be important to maintain the stable branch for 
quite some time in order to have a "finished produtct".
