[scribus] Using SVG in image frames - resolution problem

I have used an SVG in an image frame. I know Scribus can't handle vector
graphics and thus rasterizes it.
However the rasterization quality is very poor giving a low-resolution
image. How can I increase this resolution? The resolution for EPS
setting doesn't seem to do anything to my SVG and I can't find a
separate resolution setting which would apply here.

I have attached a small image to illustrate this: It's part of a
screenshot from kpdf. I created the .pdf from Scribus as PDF/X-3; the
text is from Scribus, the blue and black lines below from the SVG.
