Certainly you are aware of the multitudinous word processors that scribus does NOT support, but all of which support saving in RTF format. scribus is free; nearly all of those word processors cost someone money to obtain. How hard would it really be to implement support for RTF when you consider the number of word processors that would come along for the ride?
