[scribus] Spell check and word processing in Scribus

I expect to use Scribus the same way I currently use PageMaker6 -- entering text directly in the text boxes. I will on occasion import longer text works from a word processor, usually because an article was submitted by someone else that way. The only thing I've ever used the text editor for is spell checking, because that's where the spell checker is and I have no other choice except to export the text to a WP, spell check, then import back. I only type at around 30-35 WPM, so inputting directly into the text boxes (or frames) isn't a big problem. I'm using PM6 on an Athlon 64 running at 2000MHz (actual... Athlon 2400?) with 1GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 7300GS 512mb video card. Not a real high powered system! Haven't tried Scribus on it yet, playing with that on a much older Athlon 1200 system w/640mb and I don't recall what video card. It seems to run okay, but I know it needs something a bit faster.

I have wondered why the team bother with the Story Editor at all, wouldn't it be
easier to open a package like say, abiword or some other light weight word
processor with basic tools and sent the text to that.
To me the Story Editor has basic use, - to apply changes to text, line and
paragraph styles and add line breaks, simply because
editing in a text box is so slow and inaccurate.
