Besides building 1.3.5svn, one should also have aspell, and
at least one dictionary installed (it should check for this
during configuration, but I am not sure at the moment how
robust this checking is). Most Linux distributions have
aspell installed by default, or have it available as a
package. For Windows, the official aspell 0.50 port is
available from under http://aspell.net/win32/ . However,
I would recommend trying to install aspell 0.6. An
unofficial port is at
http://wiki.lyx.org/uploads/Windows/Aspell6/aspelldata-0.60.4-root.exe
and dictionaries are available at
http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/Aspell6 . Haven't tried these
myself yet, but will attempt to do that over the coming
eekend.
