Hi,

I think that instead of apparently biased generalizations, like the 
above, have a look at the 'Scribus success stories' here:
http://wiki.scribus.net/index.php/Success_stories

You can see what people can actually create with scribus. That may give 
you an idea what scribus can do.

As for the mailing list (guess that's what ml is), I couldn't disagree 
any more. I've been a member of many technical mailing lists before, and 
this is the most tolerant and helpful one that I've seen.

The only problem I see with scribus, compared with some other open 
source projects like inkscape, that development seems a bit slow, 
releases could be more frequent.
