In that case you're pretty much stuck with reprinting the whole book anyway as
any indexing or internal page references ("see diagram on page 104") will be
off.
I used to get books in ring binders that were designed to be updated on-the-fly
like this, and they sometimes came out with pages 122a, 122b, 122c and so on to
put between page 122 and page 123. But the book and the indexing has to
allow and account for that during layout. If the publisher simply expects you
to reprint the whole thing every time there is an update, that won't be allowed
for.
