The leading slash '/' means that this is an absoulte path. Python and
Ghostscript
go both in Macintosh HD:/Library/Frameworks.

Any ghostscript would do, but GPL GS 8.57 is newer (and improved)

That is planned for 1.3.5.
Scribus Aqua currently uses Qt3/Mac which has not the quality of Qt/X11.
Scribus 1.3.5 will use Qt4, which is much faster and will hopefully
eliminate
some glitches which make using Scribus/Aqua not as enjoyable as on other
platforms.
