Hi,

Third solution: wait until we get versioned libraries so 1.2.x and 1.3.x can
be installed.

I am not a big fan of checkinstall on Suse. It is not so much installation,
but removal that can in some cases make checkinstall rpms ugly.

Better is to get Pascal Bleser's rpm from gwdg.de. These are differently
contstructed, but carefully prepared rpms which wont break scribus or your
system. (Pascal used to work for Suse)
