OK, tried your link and it would not install. These are the errors.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
scribus: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-4) but 2.3.2-7 is to be installed
Depends: libcupsys2-gnutls10 (>= 1.1.20final-1) but it is not installable
Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:3.4.1-3) but 1:3.3.2-0pre5 is to be installed
Depends: libqt3c102-mt (>= 3:3.3.3) but 3:3.2.1-6 is to be installed
Depends: libstdc++5 (>= 1:3.3.4-1) but 1:3.3.2-0pre5 is to be installed
Depends: libtiff4 but it is not installable
Depends: libxcursor1 (> 1.1.2) but 1.0.2-2 is to be installed
Depends: libxml2 (>= 2.6.11) but 2.5.11-2 is to be installed
Depends: zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1) but 1:1.1.4-15 is to be installed
Depends: gs-gpl (>= 8.01) but it is not installable or
gs-afpl (>= 8.14) but it is not installable or
gs-esp (>= 7.07) but 7.05.6-2.1.x1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It appears that all the libraries are there but need updating.
I will have to find a source for updating all of these libraries before
Scribus will run.
Why is Xandros so far behind in their libraries ?
Any idea of a good source for these debian libraries ?
Still haven't heard from anyone who is running Xandros and Scribus 1.2.....
Is there anyone out there doing this ?
