The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.1.6.

The 1.1.6 release is the most stable, feature complete version to date.
This release is a short detour on the road to the release of a stable 1.2 Scribus.
This was prompted by the decision of SuSE to prominently highlight Scribus in its
upcoming SuSE 9.1 Professional. Although, marked a developer's release, the Scribus
team urges all users and distros to use this latest release.

Changes and new features since the release of Version 1.1.5:

- Added first basic support for tables. Tables, can be grouped, rotated and can store
text or images in a frame.

- User defined locations for Image Editing and for the Ghostscript executable. Thus,
you can right click an image and launch GIMP from within Scribus. This works with
GIMP 1.2 or the new GIMP 2.0.

completed the Textselection with the Cursor Keys:
   Shift+Cursor Key selects Characters.
