Hi Scribus List,

first, I want to congratulate all of you for this exceptional product, it's
really a big leap forward for Free Software on the desktop. We're just
evaluating if we switch over from Illustrator and Quark to Inkscape and
Scribus for our LinuxTag 2005 promotional material..

Althought I have one question: Scribus seems to be really slow when using
large amounts of text, especially when I try to work on it to get certain
words or paragraphs in a different font or weight: selecting text or moving
the cursor is very slow. Is this a known problem or is it a problem of my
installation (Debian Testing on Athlon 1,5GHz), perhaps with the freetype
libraries?

I also managed to create a file with the CVS version that crashes the stable
and the CVS version on load. If someone wants this file for debugging, please
e-mail.

Thanks,
Michael
