[Scribus] Installing Scribus on OS X

Hello again!

Fink installed.
Developper Tools for OS X installed.
Ran into an error for not having the latest version of C Compiler
(was 3.1) - upgraded to 3.3.
Scribus now in the list of installable application in Fink.
I selected Scribus and ran the Install command.
Everything seemed to be running fine for hours.
After 6 hours (this is an "old" iMac G3-350MHz) the job is "done" but
here are the last lines :

Errors were encountered while processing:
### execution of dpkg failed, exit code 1
Failed: can't batch-install packages:

Also, I had X11 installed to run OOo but now this doesn't work anymore!

Question : once the compilation is done, can I simply copy the result
to another machine? I ask this because I have access in my office to
much faster machines so maybe the whole process would take much less
time? I would still not be able to use those horses for testing
purposes so I would still need to work back on my iMac.

Anyway! I thought I had it!

By the way, do you know how much space the whole program takes once
in its usable state?

So now, what would be the best thing to do?

Many many thanks!
