[Scribus] A few annoying problems

Thank you, Peter, for your reply.  It does help.  I will try left alignment.
Let me know if you want me to give you a sample of the document (trimmed
down to the problem area) to isolate the possible bug.

I'm still trying to understand this DTP thing.  Since this is my 
first real document,
I am fiddling with the styles as I go, trying to get things to look 
as I want them to.
I guess I've combined creating the template and the document which is not the
normal work flow.

When you are working on a document, do you do a lot of local styling once the
text is imported and styled via the document styles?  In my example of a book
title, the italics aren't so much prettying up the look as applying proper
"punctuation."  In other areas, I want to put selected words in bold 
to set them apart.
Is that normal in DTP or am I still thinking too much in word processing?
