Ah. If I was you, I'd get hold of GCC 3.2 or above and recompile. 2.95.4
had lots of C++ issues. Scribus 0.8 was amazingly unstable using 2.96
(redhat's botch on 2.95.4). I downloaded 3.1, compiled it and recompiled
Scribus. It worked really well.
