[Scribus] Fonts

I'm having a difficult time with fonts. I installed scribus om my laptop
(mdk9.1 + WinXP fonts) and everything worked lovely. Now I build a
dedicated 2700 athlon on Nforce2 board[dual screen :-)] with 512 meg
ram. I installed WinXp then mdk9.1 and ripped the fonts. (Do you think
this should be powerful enough for 48 page A3 weekly newspaper (some
color some B&W).

the font problem:
1)Now a document created with the notebook's fonts doesnt show in
scribus, but it exports correctly.

2)Xpdf doesnt want to print an A3 sized pdf as a4. (printer is a
HP1220c).

3)Kghostview doesnt open the pdf correctly, but it prints a3's.

4)Acrobat5 doenst want to install, and acro4 installs but buggers up one
of the fonts printing a block where there should be a space.

5) And finally scribus prints beautifully, except it buggers up ? (\"e,
\^e etc.). I think it should have to do with the character encoding, but
I dont know where to start.

Thanks
