[Scribus] Line breaks

Hello,

suppose I have this text in a text box:

line 1
line 2
line 3

When I exported this text (File > Export... > Save Text...) in an
earlier version (I believe it was 0.8) I got this:

line 1<CR>line 2<CR>line 3

But... <CR> is the line break of a Mac file.
In Linux it's <LF>.
And in Dos/Windows it's <CR><LF>.
AFAICS, about every Linux application can also read <CR><LF>.

However, if I do the same in 0.9.8, I get this:

line 1^Mline 2^Mline 3

I'm wondering what the ^M stands for.
But I suppose, changing it into a Linux line break (or else, <CR><LF>)
will help?

Regards,
S.H.
