Hi,

though I am not an expert on html or any ther type of programming, i would
suggest, that the following table
> +--------+ +-------------------------+ +----+
>
> | | | | +----+
>
> +--------+ | |
>
> | | +----+
>
> +----+ +-------------------------+ | |
>
> | | +----+
>
> +----+

is written as 6x5 table like the following one:

      |
<- or v mean cell borders.
    1 2 3 4 5
| | | | | |
v v v v v v
+--------+ +-------------------------+ +----+ <-
                                                  1
| | | | +----+ <-
                                                  2
+--------+ | A | <-
                                                  3
           | | +----+ <-
                                                  4
   +----+ +-------------------------+ | | <-
                                                  5
   | | +----+ <-
                                                  6
   +----+ <-

As html-tables-cells can be be spanned with colspan and rowspan, the inner
cell marked with an "A" has got the attribute colspan="4".
Whith this, it should be possible to export nearly every layout as a
html-page. You just have an fine table-grid.

Just my 0,02 EUR

HTH,
  Benjamin.
