Just trying this out now.

1. I'm not seeing what moving the weld point does.
2. It might be nice that when you are in Edit Weld Item mode, Move 
Object, that you could use the XYZ tab to move that selected object 
only. Right now the whole welded unit moves.
3. If you save to Scrapbook, only the selected part goes to the 
Scrapbook, maybe the welded unit should go together.
