Thanks Greg

I'm not on Ubuntu but PClinuxOS 64-bit (rpm) but decided to try
what you sent

Chmod seems OK

But the next instruction gave ...

It did however pop-up a box that asked if I wanted to add this to
my Menu so I clicked 'OK'.
It DID add to my Menu 'Scrbus - Page Layout (Development)'.
But selecting this does nothing!!

The error message above means nothing to me I'm afraid - so still
stuck. Maybe I should do what JLuk says and change my OpSys to one
that keeps me up-to-date!! I have the same problem with another
very important piece of Software I'm using - Kexi!!

Thanks for the help
