Scribus is publishing software and not a text editor.<br>Early versions of InDesign had this option but it does not exist anymore. Older QuarkXPress had this kind of option too.<br>Even if you ignore security issues, there is an usability problem :<br>Publishing software detects modification in an image file and invites you tu update it (or do this himself). With "included" images this will no longer be true. This changes images (or generaly inserted files) handling workflow.
