<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;">I just finished compiling the latest (June 18) svn and yes it is RC 5. RC means release candidate. No features are being added but critical bugs are being smacked one by one. The developers of Scribus are very conservative so they still call this a developmental candidate. It is not yet listed on the website. But you can certainly use either RC 4 or RC 5 and feel pretty safe. When the developers are really really satisfied that 1.4.0 is ready for prime time they will take off the RC suffix and it will be officially stable.  I will begin using 1.4.0 RC5 tomorrow for my production work.  </p>
