That is, the border turns grey and I can't really interact with the window until I click it again. It's like the properties window had showed up, only that it was invisible.<br>

I'm using Scribus version 1.3.8 and when I'm trying to fire up the<br>
properties palette for any kind of frame, nothing happens. I've been<br>
trying to do this by right clicking on the object and selecting<br>
"properties", by selecting "properties" from the "Windows" menu and by<br>
pressing F2. None of these methods works at all.<br>

I'm not a Mac user, so better help may be forthcoming. In case somehow your Properties is off-screen, try renaming the .scribus directory (where various prefs are), so that it get regenerated when Scribus starts again.<br>
