Yes, that's more my view.
In the days before Scribus, when microsoft word was crap, I'd
occasionally produce documents by hand writing the postscript in a text
editor.
It was huge fun for things like printing up market raffle tickets,
because postscript could generate the numbers on each ticket without you
having to fill it in on each ticket by hand.
