At any point in time, there are two tracks of Scribus being developed, the so-called "stable", now the 1.4.x series, and the developmental or "unstable" series, currently 1.5.x. It so happens that 1.4.8 was officially released after 1.5.4, but even so, 1.5.4 contains a lot of additional features you won't have with 1.4.8. I don't know about macs, but with Linux and Windows you can have both the 1.4.x and 1.5.x versions installed. Although I have both, for the most part I only use 1.5.x. An important thing to keep in mind is that while 1.5.x will be able to load a 1.4.x or earlier file, 1.4.x can't load a 1.5.x file. This would be of importance if you're sharing a file with someone who also has Scribus, or if you have more than one computer and they don't all have both versions of Scribus. We're getting to the point that saying 1.5.4 is unstable isn't really true, since it probably won't be long before it becomes the official stable release. I can't find any bug reports on this. You don't say how you are trying to import one of these files. Since Krita is a raster graphics editor (and not vector graphics), I would presume that you import its files into an image frame. If this fails, report the bug, but a workaround should be feasible if you have Krita, by saving in some other format, like TIFF or JPEG or PDF (among others), which Krita is supposed to be able to do, and which Scribus can handle. I've tried the other way around too. I tried to export the files from Krita into Scribus but i could not find it. I've tried with a .tiff format as well, but the only option available was still vector format. Thank you for your response. I can't find any bug reports on this. You don't say how you are trying to import one of these files. Since Krita is a raster graphics editor (and not vector graphics), I would presume that you import its files into an image frame. When you export from krita to .JPG or .TIFF file, then in Scribus you should load your krita exported file not using File > import but into an image frame : first create an image frame, then CTRL+I JLuc > De : Gregory Pittman > Envoy? : lundi 27 mai 2019 13:38 > ? : scribus at lists.scribus.net > Objet : Re: [scribus] Krita issues > > On 5/27/19 7:26 AM, Florine Aubel wrote: >> Hello, >> >> I'm sorry if it is not the right address to send this but i currently have issues with scribus concerning .kra files. >> I can not find a way to import .kra files into Scribus (and i have Ghostscript). If you encounter any problems, you can export it to a real exchange format like TIFF. Also note that Scribus can only import a flattened version of the KRA file. If you need layers, you have to export it as PSD. As for the resolution of imported image files, they will be imported "as is", but you can set the maximum resolution for output in the PDF export settings. HTH, Christoph
