I have updated from the PPA and it does indeed solve the issue with
Inkscape, yay!
After downgrading libpoppler-glib8, I wound up with some complaints from
APT. I had to downgrade two other libraries to make APT happy enough to
update libpoppler85. If someone else runs into apt-get errors when updating
scribus on Ubuntu, please consider running these commands:
sudo apt-get update -qq
sudo apt-get install libpoppler-glib8=0.62.0-2ubuntu2.10
libpoppler-qt5-1=0.62.0-2ubuntu2.10 poppler-utils=0.62.0-2ubuntu2.10
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
With kind regards,
Bert
