Dear Scribus Team,
I recently encountered the problem that I am not able to import any eps files via File>Import> Get_vector_file anymore. This is really puzzling because I never had a problem regarding this matter for years.
I am using Ubuntu 16.04, Scribus 1.4.6, Ghostscript 9.25.
The prompt I get is:
Importing File:
<filename>.eps
failed!
It appears that there's a problem regarding ghostscript, since the terminal output is:
PostScript import failed when calling gs as:
-q -dNOPAUSE -dNODISPLAY -dBATCH -dDELAYBIND -g6048x2016 -r288 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -c 450 -144 translate -sTraceFile=/home/georg/.scribus//ps.out -sExportFiles=<some_name> /usr/lib/scribus/import.prolog /<somepath>.eps -c flush cfile closefile
quit
Ghostscript diagnostics:

Current allocation mode is local
Current file position is 3303
However, looking at the images in ghostview directly works without any problems.
In the beginning, I thought that the fonts might be problematic but even the following file created via gnuplot, in this way:
gnuplot> set term eps color solid
gnuplot> set out 'test.eps'
gnuplot> p x
can not be imported and the error is the same.
I tried updating scribus, ghostscript, ghostscript-font (gsfont), without success.
Dou you maybe have any idea or experience how I could solve this issue?
Thank you in advance, Georg
