[scribus] Vertical centering of text in a frame

If I put the line or line in a separate paragraph, highlight the text and 
click on the icon that centers text in the text editor
 that always works. for me.

If you mean horizontal centering in a true text frame you can do that with 
the Story editor. Highlight the line and then
 click on the appropriate icon on the upper right icon row. But the frame 
must be created by clicking on insert>text frame
 on the menu row.
  
 If you create the frame by clicking on the "T" icon to create the frame it 
doesn't  put you in the story editor or give you that option.
