The wisdom of the Interwebs sais that Trajan Pro is bundled with a
couple of Adobe products, including InDesign and Illustrator. Maybe
the original poster removed a software package that had the fonts
bundled?

I've never heard of Microsoft policing font licenses. That would be
darn near impossible to start with: I've purchased a ton of fonts, and
even I have to go back to the receipts to see if I purchased a font,
got it in a bundle or downloaded as a freebie. As a general guideline,
I'd suggest storing all the fonts you use someplace safe, so that you
can always get them back if, for example, you get a new PC or change
operating systems. Scribus even has a menu item "Collect for output"
that bundles all prerequisites for your project, including the fonts.
Check to see if your font license allows you to make a personal
backup, there's some weird licensing around.

Back to Trajan Pro. This site features a comparison between Trajan Pro
and Cinzel:

Cinzel is a free download, so I'd suggest trying it out. There's a lot
of choice in free quality fonts these days. I'm so fed up with some of
the font licenses that I'm quite motivated to give alternatives a good
hard look, just remember to donate to the author if you use a nice
one. I donated last year's remainder of my font budget to Impallari
Type, and this year's may well go to the maker of Cinzel.

You can get Cinzel here: http://ndiscovered.com/cinzel/ (and check out
their other fonts).

With kind regards.

Bert
