Once selected with a left click, most of the time for basic stuff you keep on using the left click.
Drag'n'drop to move : press button on the center of the object, move, release button
Resize : mouse move on top of a handle on a corner of the object, press, move, release button
Double Click : press 'E' or double click on the center of the object so as to get more editing abilities
F2 : display the Property Palette and have access to fine edit of the object
...
Some actions depends on the type of object, so specify which type of object you work on.
Some shortcuts depends on the type of Operating System, so specify which OS you work on.
