Hello dirk,

you have neither signed your message nor deleted any of the text you answered to,
si i couldnt know if you had finished your answer after these 2 first lines,
or if you had writen more text later down,
so i had to scroll all way through this long mail to search for more possible new parts of your answer.

Please could you delete any non relevant parts of the messages you are answering to ?
(your message will require less energy and time to be shared)
all the more if you receive this mailing dist as digests :
select the mail you are answering to.

Or at least sign at the end of your message
so i/we can know you have stoped writing.

Thanks in advance,

Globally, digests are not easy to read and do not enable to follow
or take part to threads of discussions in a convenient way.

But do you know there is a great alternative to receiving digests ?
It's subscribing to a newsgroup that mirrors the mailing list.
Thus, you gain access to the messages at will, a bit as in a forum,
but with your mail client (thunderbird or else) where the mails are automatically
updated (and deleted when too old).
depending on your OS and mail habits, subscribtion can probably be done following link :
   nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.scribus
