This feature is bound to the text itself and not to the frame. When you
change the reading to right-left, the punctuation hangs correctly on the
left-hand side (however, you have to either choose "both sides" or "right
only" because "left only" will not work at all). This seems to confirm what
you're getting on top of the confusion brought by the label itself. I mean,
right is right and left is left!
