Hi,

As a printer myself and being in the industry for more than 25 years, I
always find comments like this one totally untrue and unproductive, to say
the least. It's as if printers would not care about the final result on
press while this is their job! Come on!

If you have encountered issue with a couple of printers over the years,
talk to them, discuss the case to solve it.

Transparency has been around for years and PDF 1.4 supports this "natively"
while PDF 1.3 can output properly transparency that has been flattened.

The most common error in the digital graphic chain is to believe that
handling blindly a file will end up with the desired result. This is wrong
unless prior testings have occured and the workflow is tight and understood
at both ends of the chain. Talking to people and sharing expectations and
how a work will be handled and how it will be processed cannot be a bad
idea.

Machines don't talk.

Cheers!

Louis
