for most cases and users it's ok.

there may be an ubuntu problem, i can't test it right now. but it's
certainly not a problem on debian: just tested, i can type 'e and get
an é.

so it's not a general GNU/Qt/Mozilla/Libreoffice/Google/Molenaar/Linux
problem...
